Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to become a Level 3 Early Years Apprentice at our nursery in Hamilton!

This role offers a chance to join a happy nursery environment that encourages children to learn through fun and engaging play. You will work with a dedicated team in a caring, family-friendly, and stimulating setting that welcomes children, parents, and staff.

The ideal candidate will have:

1. Ability to provide warmth and hugs to children.
2. Imagination to engage in role-play activities, such as being a pirate captain.
3. Excellent memory to remember children's names, pets, toys, and details.
4. Fast processing skills for counting and managing groups of children.
5. Willingness to learn songs, including those from Frozen II.
6. Ability to laugh at jokes, even if they are not understood or funny.

You should also be prepared to feel loved, valued, and important to children and their families. This is a unique and rewarding job!

Job Purpose:

Nursery Apprentices are contracted to the nursery and participate in a workplace training scheme. They support the nursery team to deliver high-quality education and care, adhere to policies, meet legislative requirements, and follow the educational curriculum.

You will help create a safe, caring, and welcoming environment where parents trust us and children can flourish in an engaging setting.

Candidate Requirements:

• Must already hold a Level 2 Early Years Qualification and be willing to work towards a Level 3 EY Qualification.
• DBS enhanced disclosure within the child workforce sector.
• Enrolment in a work-based training scheme for Level 2 or Level 3 qualification.
• Previous experience in early years is preferable.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with children and families.
• Enthusiastic, nurturing, and dedicated to supporting children's learning.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
