UPS Supply Chain Solutions, Inc. in Peterborough is seeking a part-time, permanent Warehouse Associate to load/unload, sort and stock packages. The shift starts early at 4:00 AM with hours that may vary by operational need in a fast-paced environment.

Pay is $18.50 per hour with weekly direct deposit and union-based progression; duties include loading into vehicles, following handling methods, and ensuring accurate postal-code sorting. Availability Monday through Saturday is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs (35 kg).
• Full availability to work Monday to Saturday.
• Ability to read and memorize postal codes.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Comfortable working inside package delivery vehicles.
• Warehouse experience would be an asset.

Job Description:

This position is responsible for loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, scanning, sorting, and stocking packages. This position may utilize heavy machinery to complete tasks. This position performs other tasks as assigned in a fast-paced environment.

Workdays:

Monday to Friday

Shift Start:

4:00AM Shift averages 3-5 hours a day, but hours, start times/finish times may vary with operational need. Flexibility required.

Pay rate:

$18.50/hr.

All Applicants must work a minimum 25 hrs/ week

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Load and unload packages into package delivery vehicles and trailers
• Learn and properly execute company-established package handling methods
• Sort and stock packages based on postal codes

Compensation and Benefits:

• $18.50/hr. / automatic progression as per the existing Union Collective Agreement.
• Unionized position with automatic progression as per the existing Union Collective Agreement (top rate of $36.53/hr. after 48 months of service

Monthly union dues (approximately $52/month) A union initiation fee of $50 (will be deducted after completing 90 working days with UPS)
