Early Steps (Burnaby) is looking for F/T Early Childhood Educators
  • NOC Job Code/Title: NOC 42202 - Early Childhood Educator (ECE)

  • Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
  • Wage: $28.85~$31.00/hour (depending on experience)
  • Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
  • Number of Positions: 2
  • Work Location: 7327 Edmonds Street, Burnaby, BC V3N 1A7
  • 4% vacation pay
  • Health and Dental Care

Job Duties:

  • Create and implement childcare programs that encourage and support children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development
  • Take children to local points of interest and provide opportunities to express creativity
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories and teaching songs
  • Discuss children’s progress or problems with parents and staff members
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems
  • Educate children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children

Job Requirements:

  • Experience: Experience is an asset
  • Education: College Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required
  • Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate
