The Opportunity

WSP is currently seeking a Junior Acoustics, Noise, and Vibration Technician to join our Environment team, located at our Aurora, Ontario or Kitchener, Ontario office, to help deliver existing projects. The WSP Acoustics, Noise, and Vibration team consists of a dynamic group of environmental engineers, mechanical engineers, engineering interns, and environmental technologists with strong technical skills and existing client relationships. This role offers a variety of work, blending field and office time, including field work and reporting.

What You Will Do At WSP

  • Complete background documentation reviews, field investigations, data analysis, and prepare reports to document findings;
  • Conduct field investigations for noise and vibration impact studies;
  • Assist engineers and specialists in project execution;

What You Bring To WSP

  • Degree or Diploma in Environmental or related discipline;
  • 0-5 years of experience as a field technician;
  • Prior experience as an environmental consultant is an asset;
  • Awareness of acoustical monitoring, investigations, and modeling is an asset;
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at various project stages, including fieldwork and reporting;
  • Attention to detail, including documentation;
  • Self-motivated and independent, able to work in a team and adapt to changing priorities;
  • Logical thinking and initiative to apply knowledge and suggest practical solutions;
  • Willing to travel locally (GTA) for fieldwork and occasionally to remote locations;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing priorities;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proactive in addressing time-sensitive issues;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office;

Must have reliable access to a vehicle with adequate insurance and a full driver's license with a clean abstract.
