Position: Early Childhood Educator - Special Needs

Location: Calgary, AB

Workplace: On site

Salary: $19.00 to $23.00 per hour (to be negotiated) / 4 to 10 hours per week

Terms of employment: Part-time leading to full-time, term or contract

Schedule: Evening, Weekend, Shift

Starts: As soon as possible

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement child-care programs supporting physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development
• Lead activities such as storytelling, singing, and field trips
• Engage children in activities, storytelling, and crafts
• Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toileting habits
• Observe children for signs of learning or behavioral issues and report findings
• Teach and supervise children

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate
• Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Certificate
• Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate

Experience with special needs children

• Children with intellectual disabilities
• Children with behavioral issues
• Autistic children
• Children with learning disabilities
