Position: Early Childhood Educator – Permanent, Full-Time

Location: Current Assignment: Madison Children’s Centre

4397 Buchanan Street, Burnaby

Salary: $25.44/hour (includes $6.00 ECE Wage Enhancement)

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Qualifications: 1 year or 5 years ECE License to practice

Current First Aid and CPR for Children Certificate

Required criminal record search

Doctor’s note attesting candidate is fit to work with young children

Requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Able to work flexible schedules

Working knowledge of child growth and development

Ability to plan programs for children 0 to 5 years

Ability to work with children with challenging behaviour an asset

Previous work experience in childcare environment

Specifications: Six-month probation period for new hires (3 months trial period for

existing permanent employees)
