Job summary

Presidential Kids Academy Childcare Centre Inc. in Penticton is hiring an Early Childhood Educator (NOC 42202) to join a licensed centre serving children 0–5. This full-time, permanent role offers 30 hours per week and a wage of $28.00 per hour plus 4% vacation pay.

You will design developmentally appropriate programs, lead daily activities, document progress, and ensure safety and well-being in a supportive, team-based environment. English-speaking applicants preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized ECE Certificate or Diploma is required.
• Licence to Practice in British Columbia (or eligibility to obtain).
• Asset: additional education in child development or early childhood pedagogy.
• Current First Aid & CPR Level C certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Previous experience in a licensed childcare or early learning setting is an asset.

• Leading daily activities such as storytelling, creative arts, music, outdoor play, and guided exploration.
• Observing children’s behavior and development and documenting progress.

• Ensuring children’s safety, health, and well-being at all times.
• Assisting children with daily routines such as eating, dressing, toileting, and hygiene.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
• Complying with licensing regulations and centre policies.
• Preparing learning materials, resources, and activity plans.

Other Requirements
