Une institution éducative locale à Mississauga recherche un assistant en développement de l'enfant pour créer des programmes éducatifs et soutenir le développement physique, cognitif et social des enfants. Le candidat idéal doit avoir au moins un an d'expérience et un certificat d'assistant en développement d'enfants. Le poste est temporaire avec des heures de travail de 80 heures toutes les deux semaines.

Qualifications

  • Doit avoir un certificat d'assistant en développement de l'enfant (ECE niveau 1).
  • Expérience antérieure de 1 à 2 ans dans le domaine.
  • Connaissance des langues supplémentaires telles que l'arabe, l'ourdou ou le chinois est un atout.

Tasks
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
  • Storytelling
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest
  • Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
  • Teach students using lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations and field trips
  • Prepare subject material for presentation according to an approved curriculum
  • Lead students in activities to promote their physical, mental and social development and their school readiness
  • Assign and correct homework
  • Participate in educational conferences and teacher training workshops
  • Discuss results and students' progress with them, their parents and school officials
