Job description

We currently have over 150 childcares centres across Canada & the USA and are constantly expanding; come and grow within the company!

Please Note: We are currently looking for a full-time Infant and Toddler ECE at our Little Willows by Kids & Company Dewdney House location!

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain documentation, reporting and record keeping
  • Implement a Reggio Emilia approach to learning
  • Support children’s emotional, physical, or behavioural well being; while helping to develop their social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills
  • Maintain attendance, and health and safety checks
  • Work with professionals, such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists as necessary
  • Support children through transitions in and out of the classrooms
  • Participate and interact in team meetings and workshops

Specifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels with children, parents and co-workers.
  • Ability to utilize computer systems for all documentation, reporting, and classroom operations
  • Strong collaborator and team player
  • Ability to take initiative in and out of the classroom
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Qualifications:

  • Valid British Columbia ECE/IT License
  • Criminal Record Check
  • Valid Standard Child Care First Aid and CPR
  • Immunizations up to date
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 45 pounds
