  • Plan and support play-based learning activities.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families and team members.
  • Support children’s emotional, social and developmental needs using positive guidance approaches.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and culturally respectful classroom environment.
  • Support daily routines including meals, hygiene, rest periods, transitions, and outdoor play.
  • Observe and support children’s learning and development.
  • Ensure children’s safety and well-being while following licensing, regulations, safety and health policies.
  • Participate in team meetings, professional developments, and engaging learning opportunities.
  • Maintain required certifications and professional standards related to early childhood education.

Kookum’s Place is an Indigenous-led, community-centred early learning program dedicated to supporting children and families through relationship-based care that honours Indigenous culture, values, and ways of knowing. Our approach is rooted in respect, connection, and belonging, with a strong emphasis on play-based and land-based learning.

We are seeking a passionate, caring, and community-minded Early Childhood Educator II (ECE II) to join our team. Key Responsibilities
