The Opportunity

The Early Childhood Educator I assists in teaching, cooking, housekeeping, and laundry duties.

The role reports to the Program Supervisor, Child Care Centre and has the following accountabilities:

1. Directs and participates with children in planned routine activities and related discipline.
2. Assists the Child Care Cook in housekeeping and laundry duties.
3. Maintains a clean and orderly centre.
4. Interacts with staff and parents.

Ideal Candidate

1. Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Education equivalency.
2. Knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act.
3. A demonstrated ability to meet and work with people.
