Job Details

This role requires a commitment to YMCA's mission and values of responsibility, honesty, caring, respect, and inclusion. It is a contract position from June 16, 2025, to August 29, 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Create a safe, engaging environment for children based on the Y Playing to Learn curriculum
  • Foster self-esteem, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
  • Maintain open communication with staff and parents
  • Follow YMCA policies and procedures
  • Participate in team-teaching and supervision
  • Prepare snacks and perform housekeeping duties
Qualifications
  • ECE diploma or CECE recognized equivalency
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
  • Member in good standing of the College of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario
  • Minimum two years of experience working with children
Additional Requirements
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR 'C'
  • Up-to-date immunizations and TB test
  • Valid permit to work in Canada
  • Police Record check within 6 months
