Work setting: Child care centre

Tasks:

1. Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers
2. Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
3. Order supplies and equipment
4. Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
5. Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
6. Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
7. Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children

Supervision: 5-10 people

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses:

1. Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
2. First Aid Certificate

Security and safety:

1. Criminal record check
