Work setting
Tasks
- Assess the children's development to prepare tailored learning plans.
- Assist co-workers with housekeeping and cooking duties.
- Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers.
- Develop and implement child-care programs supporting physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
- Maintain daycare equipment.
- Storytelling and reading stories.
- Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers.
- Communicate children's overall situation to parents.
- Assist early childhood educators in program implementation.
- Lead activities such as storytelling, singing, and outings.
- Order supplies and equipment.
- Keep records in collaboration with educators or supervisors.
- Encourage creativity through arts, dramatic play, music, and physical activities.
- Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toileting habits.
- Prepare snacks and organize lunch and rest areas.
- Observe children for learning or behavioral issues and report findings.
- Submit written observations to educators or supervisors.
- Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and issues.
- Understand licensing regulations and establish behavior guidelines.
- Collaborate with co-workers and community service providers.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.

- Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
