Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Develop and implement child-care programs supporting children's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Lead activities such as storytelling, singing, and visiting local points of interest.
  • Engage children with stories, songs, and crafts.
  • Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toileting habits.
  • Observe children for signs of learning or behavioral issues and report findings to parents or supervisors.
  • Establish behavior guidelines.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and issues.
  • Build collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers.
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children before and after school hours.
