Job description

Responsibilities

• Supervising children and ensuring a safe environment indoors and outdoors, including during field trips.
• Communicating effectively with staff members and parents, providing and receiving information.
• Greeting children and parents upon arrival.
• Getting to know the children and supporting them in their daily routines.
• Planning and implementing educational activities.
• Fulfilling various shift duties as assigned.

Required Skills

• Ideally, candidates will have an Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification; however, related work experience and qualifications will also be considered.
• Must be a team player committed to maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment.
• A criminal record check will be required, and references will be contacted.
• Additional certifications such as Special Needs and Infant/Toddler are considered assets.
• A valid, clear criminal record check (including working with vulnerable populations) is mandatory.
• Successful applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19; exemption requests must be supported by valid legal documentation.
