The candidate will collaborate with co-educators, communicate respectfully with families, and maintain a safe, organized environment while providing engaging developmentally appropriate experiences for 3 years to school-age children.

Early Childhood Educator

Summit Community Services Society (SCSS) seeks an enthusiastic ECE to join our team. We are posting for a position at Rocky Mountain Childcare for an ECEA for 40 hrs per week. The candidate will practice according to IHA's child care licensing regulations, the ECE code of ethics and the BC Early Learning Framework. The successful candidate will plan, lead, and guide activities throughout the day, such as reading, physical activity, and creative expression through art and song.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, carry out and evaluate developmentally appropriate activities and experiences for children 3yrs - school age; to encourage independence and growth in all areas of the childrens' social, emotional and physical development.
• Work in collaboration with co-educators.
• Maintain open, respectful and positive communication with co-educators; parents and family members.
• Follow and uphold all Licensing regulations and confidentiality guidelines.
• Maintain an organized and a welcoming environment.
• Carry out regular daily cleaning and sanitizing duties.
