POSITION SUMMARY The CDI, Early Learning Centre, is seeking a knowledgeable and competent Registered Early Childhood Educator to join Fraser Mustard ELC team for a eight-month contract .
The incumbent will be responsible for the development and implementation of the children’s program in a manner that is consistent with CDI Early Learning Centre’s play-based program and reflects How Does Learning Happen? (HDLH) Ontario Pedagogy for the Early Years, Every Child Belong (ELECT), the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), Toronto Children’s Services Assessment for Quality Improvement (AQI) and Toronto Public Health (TPH).
This is a 35-hour weekly on-site, daytime position, working M-F.
Maintain a positive and professional relationship with parents and families. Provide constructive feedback regarding their child(ren) 9. Create opportunities for children to engage in their community, library, community walks, etc.
Conduct parent interviews as requested by parents and Director 11.
Responsible for the opening and closing of the Centre.
May be asked to be the ‘In-Charge’ person when the Director is off site.
Responsible for administering medication.
Maintains records, program plans, daily care information, and other documentation as required by TCS, CCEYA and TPH 16.
Participates regularly in supervision as required by agency policy.
Responsible for reporting any signs of child abuse to Children’s Aid Society 18.
Any other duties as assigned.

Compensation : This is a unionized position under CUPE paying $56,815 per annum and pro-rated based on the length of the contract.
