What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

  1. Assisting RECE’s with instruction in the classroom.
  2. Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
  3. Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
  4. Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
  5. Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
  6. Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
  7. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  1. High School/Equivalent required, Early Childhood Assistant Certification preferred
  2. Must meet province requirement for childcare employment
  3. Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR
  4. Current immunization and health assessment as per the local Minister of Health Requirements
  5. Experience in planning and implementing programs.
