Job summary

SLR Consulting (Canada) is seeking an Early Career Environmental Scientist/Engineer in Whitehorse to join a 800+ team of environmental, advisory, and regulatory professionals across Canada. You will contribute to Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments, site investigations, and remediation programs across diverse urban and remote locations.

Qualifications

A degree or technical diploma in environmental science, engineering, geology or hydrogeology.
Experience with contaminated site work is a strong asset.
Willingness to travel and work away from home, potentially up to 2 weeks at a time.

Responsibilities

Participate in all facets of environmental or contaminated site projects including Phase I and II ESAs and remediation.
Lead fieldwork programs involving sampling, monitoring and remediation of soil, groundwater, soil vapour, sediment and surface water.
Support project planning, coordination, reporting and budget tracking.
Prepare project-specific health and safety plans.
