MD Management Limited, a division of Scotia Wealth Management, offers an exciting opportunity for a talented, enthusiastic, and client-focused Early Career Education Specialist to join our team.

As an Early Career Education Specialist, you will contribute to the success of the team by executing specific goals, plans, and initiatives aligned with the business strategies and objectives. You will ensure all activities comply with regulations, policies, and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  1. Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  2. Act as the first face-to-face contact for MD Financial Management (MDFM), promoting and communicating the MD value proposition with a solid understanding of the physician journey, MD’s core products, and services.
  3. Generate quality leads for MD Financial Management for new clients and connect prospects with Early Career Advisors.
  4. Develop a prominent, consistent, and positive presence on campus, in teaching hospitals, and in the New in Practice community.
  5. Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders such as residency program directors, PTMAs, affiliates, and Scotiabank.
  6. Identify opportunities to impress prospects and clients, recognizing career and personal milestones.
  7. Deliver financial literacy educational sessions.
  8. Organize MDFM presence at resident orientations, academic half-days, and special events.
  9. Use new media and social tools to engage with prospects and create stakeholder communities.
  10. Collect feedback from residents and new physicians to inform future strategies.
  11. Consider the bank’s risk appetite and culture in daily activities and decisions.
  12. Ensure effective operations in line with Scotiabank’s values, conduct policies, and risk management standards.
  13. Contribute to an inclusive, high-performance environment.

Education & Experience:
  1. University degree or equivalent experience in Commerce, Marketing, or Communications.
  2. Experience in partnership relationship management and negotiation.
  3. 3-5 years in marketing/business development within financial services or healthcare industries.
  4. Strong financial planning knowledge.
  5. In-depth understanding of the medical student and resident experience, with ability to develop relevant links.
