Position Summary
EAES 310 – Introduction to Arts Education (Pre-K to Grade 5)
Introduction to dance, drama, literature, music and visual art as required areas of study in the Pre-K to Grade 5 classroom, as reflected in the provincial curriculum. Students will examine the integration of arts education disciplines as one approach to teaching for possibility, for transformation, and for a better world.
This course is part of the University of Regina’s Faculty of Education Bachelor of Education YNTEP Program offered in Whitehorse, YT.
Normally it is preferred that applicants will have a Master of Education degree appropriate to the area of instruction. Applicants should also have experience in the education system appropriate to the content of the course applied for, knowledge of, and experience with the British Columbia curriculum, knowledge and experience with Faculty of Education programs, and current knowledge of issues related to the course for which the applicant has applied. University teaching experience is an asset. Preference may be given to local candidates.
