Position Overview : As a Quality Assurance Associate , you’ll be a key part of our QA team, helping to ensure that our products meet strict regulatory, safety, and quality standards throughout the entire product lifecycle. Your work will help uphold the trust our customers place in the CanPrev brand every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and perform routine sampling and testing of finished products as part of routine quality assurance checks.
  • Review and approve production and packaging batch records for compliance and completeness.
  • Perform quality checks and verifications throughout manufacturing and packaging processes.
  • Assist in managing and maintaining SOPs, specifications, and quality documentation in compliance with GMP and Health Canada regulations.
  • Investigate and document product non-conformances, deviations, and out-of-specification results. Assist with root cause analysis and corrective / preventative actions (CAPA).
  • Support internal audits, supplier audits, and regulatory inspections as required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, to maintain a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and manage controlled documents, records retention, and revision control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, including Health Canada, FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and other applicable regulatory bodies for NHPs and dietary supplements.
  • Stay updated on FDA guidelines for dietary supplements, including the company's products that meet the necessary regulatory standards for labeling, claims and manufacturing practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality systems by identifying opportunities for process optimization and improvement.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a QA role, preferably within the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or food industry.
  • Solid understanding of GMP, Health Canada, FDA regulations, and quality systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities - teamwork is key.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with QMS software is an asset.
