Job description

Digital Performance Analyst

Come help shape the growth of Johnson Outdoors by supporting the digital performance strategies for our iconic outdoor brands in Fishing, Watercraft, Camping, and Diving!

The Digital Performance Analyst will drive optimizations in campaign and channel effectiveness by enabling and providing real-time data with insights to optimize eCommerce channel performance, supporting strategic decisions, and driving improvements in campaign effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Performance analysis strategy definition and execution:
    • Defines and implements performance analysis frameworks, partnering with the digital commerce team to ensure data-driven decision-making across campaigns.
    • Designs and maintains dashboards and reports to meet the needs of channel leads, providing real-time analysis of KPIs and access to specific data cuts.
    • Checks for data quality, accuracy, and compliance.
  2. Channel analysis and insights:
    • Identifies trends, patterns, and anomalies in site data, providing insights into what is working and what needs improvement.
    • Analyzes user behavior, conversion paths, and drop-off points to improve user experience and evaluates top-of-funnel channels for optimization opportunities.
    • Compares current performance against industry benchmarks, historical data, and competitors.
    • Mines site, social, and other channel data to understand customer perceptions.
  3. Data analytics team support:
    • Supports the digital commerce team with insights, data sourcing, campaign planning, and experimentation.
    • Presents performance reports and recommends process improvements.
    • Refines data collection and analysis processes, and suggests new tools or system enhancements.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
  4. Knowledge & Background Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or equivalent.
    • Minimum of two years in digital performance analytics.
    • Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Hotjar), tag management, BI visualization, marketplace analysis, and dashboards.
    • Ability to work with large data sets and synthesize insights for management.
    • Strong communication skills for presenting data and collaborating.
    • Project coordination skills, including managing ideas, timelines, resources, and evaluating effectiveness.
