Job Description

The successful candidate(s) will, upon completion of training:

  1. Perform mill & lathe work: modify and repair mold equipment, mold holders, fixtures, jigs, etc.
  2. Perform bench operations such as blending, shaping, matching cavities, making capacity corrections, necessary cavity relief, and pantograph work where standard numerals and monograms are used.

Make changes in design or capacity of the molds based on customer demands.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must possess a Tool and Die Maker License 430A
  • Experience with precision measuring devices, such as calipers, depth gauges, and micrometers
  • Machinist skills in measuring and setting up lathes & mills
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints
  • Ability/experience in grinding out fatigued metal and welding in new material
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Ability to learn new repair techniques
  • A desire to learn and grow into the Journeyman position
  • Mold repair experience preferred (plastic injection, glass)
  • Welding/fabrication experience also helpful
  • Must be able to work overtime, including weekend and overnight shifts
  • Must be able to work continental 12-hour shifts
Additional Information

Hourly Rate: $43.67
