THE ROLE

MFS Investment Management's Global Institutional Sales Team (MFSI) is seeking to add a Coordinator to support their Platforms/Professional Buyer Team. You will provide support, communication and coordination of Platform/Professional buyer team activities in Canada. You will also develop workflow procedures and follow established processes to support both business development and relationship management activities.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Act as primary liaison/contact for Sales - Platforms/Professional Buyer team in Toronto and other offices located in Canada.
  • Interface with clients, prospects and intermediaries providing appropriate firm, product, performance and other data on both a regular and ad hoc basis. Interface with external and internal contacts around all details, logistics and materials related to final presentations, consultant meetings, prospect meetings and due diligence meetings. Responsible for initiation and follow-through on problem resolution and information requests.
  • Create customized presentations for full spectrum of institutional investment products and related thought leadership. Demonstrate initiative in creating ad hoc materials to enhance prospects' understanding of the firm and our products.
  • Coordinate all aspects of Platform team's meetings and external events such as roadshows, product focused events and industry conferences. Represent MFS at industry conferences/events as requested. Manage all details with event planning and external vendors working within department budget. Manage coordination and production of all materials. Act as primary contact to all external attendees to MFSI sponsored events.
  • Develop, communicate and implement workflow procedures relative to platform team functions. Communicate issues or trends to manager relative to workflow, operational or compliance issues that arise in course of job responsibilities.
  • Analyze multiple aspects of business activities on a regular basis. Determine and document trends in quarterly activity for MFSI Management Committee by product, platform, channel, region, size, etc. Communicate industry trends, competitive information and current search activities appropriately. Gather information for key partner profiles and platform product ratings to share with the platform/professional buyer team and senior management.
  • Coordinate regular and specialized mailings to established contact lists. Use judgement in determining customized lists for targeted, time sensitive communications.
  • Utilize SalesLogix/other CRM database as central resource to maintain and track all platform team contacts and activities. Generate regular and custom sales/opportunity/consultant reports as necessary.
  • Assist other teams within MFS Canada and perform additional duties as requested.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Minimum of two years' general business experience, preferably in a sales, marketing or financial services environment.
  • Ability to work independently, providing simultaneous support to several individuals.
  • Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical skills in PowerPoint/Word/Excel.
