Position Summary

We currently have an opportunity for a results-oriented individual to join our team as an Account Manager for the Used Cooking Oil (UCO) business team. This position is responsible for the growth & profitability of the used cooking oil collection and recycling business in a designated territory in Ontario. You will succeed by gaining new customers, growing market share and developing relationships with our existing key customers.

Position Tasks And Responsibilities

  • The successful applicant will be the key new business development point of contact for regional restaurant chains as well as independent restaurants for Darling's used cooking oil recycling business.
  • Monitor our competitive position within the marketplace, developing and executing tactics to defend against threats to the customer base.
  • Identify and develop new business prospects that grow Darling's market share.
  • Prepare and submit investment proposals for new or existing customers that meet or exceed corporate ROCE targets.
  • Create and maintain relationships with key individuals and organizations within the restaurant and food processing industry.
  • Work closely with Logistics, Customer Service and customers to maintain a high level of customer service and efficiency.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance and inputs to the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-3 years' experience in an outside sales position with territory responsibility.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written; a good listener.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Problem solving, proactive use of information and resources, demonstrates a sense of urgency, energetic and sales driven.
  • Experience using CRM software and Oracle is an asset.
  • No restrictions on travel and able to spend up to four days per week traveling from an in-home office.
