We are currently seeking a Senior Analyst, Systems Engineering for our Waterloo location. This position is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of system engineering activities within an integrated product / project team composed of customers, internal, and subcontract members. The primary focus is on system engineering related to design, development, integration, test, and acceptance of new and existing technologies. Responsibilities include applying specialized knowledge to prepare plans, participate in procurement and implementation projects, and support lifecycle management of systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage system requirements for a given program, including development, validation, verification, and configuration management.
  • Generate and manage system engineering documentation such as specifications, schematics, Interface Control Documents, test plans, and maintenance documents.
  • Demonstrate technical leadership across multiple teams and disciplines.
  • Lead technical risk management, including identification, mitigation, and resolution.
  • Make informed technical decisions and conduct analyses like power and link budgets.
  • Perform trade studies and recommend technology insertions for capability improvements.
  • Plan, execute, and document formal qualification tests.
  • Estimate engineering effort for tasks and projects.
  • Ensure tasks comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Support manufacturing during transition from development to production.
  • Assist in business development for new system integration projects.
  • Support existing programs by conducting investigations, development, and review meetings.
  • Provide technical support to engineering staff.
  • Contribute to division growth through project expansion and development initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Systems Design, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in systems engineering, integration, or development.
  • Experience with radar, ATC systems, RF communications, or related hardware / software is an asset.
  • Experience with Modeling and Simulation tools is an asset.
  • Experience as a system architect or project engineer is an asset.
  • Eligibility for PEO registration.
  • Experience with IBM DOORS, Jira / Confluence is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills, teamwork, and willingness to travel.
