Qualifications

Your future role on our team

To pursue project and client development in the Sept-Îles region, BBA wants to bolster its local multidisciplinary team. Working closely with our offices in Labrador City, Montréal, and Mont-Saint-Hilaire, this team is actively involved in developing the Sept-Îles region and executing various projects in the mining, metals, and energy sectors. BBA's electrical engineering teams stand out among Côte-Nord clients because of their cutting-edge technical expertise, combined with a commitment and understanding of operating and maintaining industrial power systems.

By joining our team, you'll assist industrial clients in the energy and mining markets with operations, maintenance, or growth projects. Your responsibilities include performing site surveys and tests on high- and medium-voltage electrical equipment, participating in the commissioning of new equipment and systems, and supporting various project stages. Ensuring quality services and maintaining strong client relationships are key aspects of your role.

  2. Lead and execute electrical engineering projects for industrial clients across Québec and Canada.
  3. Participate in multidisciplinary projects as a senior electrical expert.
  4. Prepare and supervise plans and specifications for engineering projects.
  5. Supervise or contribute to technical study reports.
  6. Manage technical projects, including teams, design reviews, costs, and schedules.
  7. Transfer technical knowledge to junior engineers.
  8. Lead and assist in preparing proposals.
  9. Prepare material take-offs and studies.
  10. Engage in various stages of major projects, depending on your engineering level.

Overview of Certifications and Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
  • Minimum five years of experience in major industrial and multidisciplinary projects
  • Skills in medium- and low-voltage industrial power distribution
  • Experience managing a team of 2-5 resources
  • Ability to draft technical documents
  • Bilingual in English and French, spoken and written
  • Willingness to work at client sites and offices across Québec and Canada
  • Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code
  • Assets: ETAP and AutoCAD skills, OPEX experience, site supervision, foreign electrical codes knowledge
