Your Opportunity

Our BDO Canada Offices in Winnpeg, Halifax, Sydney, Saint-John and St.John's are looking for Insolvency Counsellors to join the Personal Debt Solutions team. This role is in-office and involves the following responsibilities:

  1. Assist debtors and creditors, both in person and virtually, as it relates to bankruptcies and proposals.
  2. Perform BIA Counselling covering topics including budgeting & credit rebuilding.
  3. Review files/documents for compliance with duties under insolvency filing.
  4. Engage in community outreach, business development, and presentations.

Your Experience and Education
  • Successful completion of CAIRP Practical course on Insolvency Counseling.
  • Two or more years of relevant experience in Insolvency or Credit Counseling.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
