Job Details
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer medications in the patient's home, specialty clinics, and Physician Partnership clinic settings.
- Assess and monitor pre and post-injection/infusion treatments as directed by program protocols.
- Complete necessary documentation based on policies, procedures, and standards of practice including those by the College of Nurses and Innomar ISO accreditation.
- Provide patient and caregiver education based on product monographs and program protocols, either individually or in groups.
- Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and product complaints in accordance with Innomar policies and procedures.
- Ensure reliable availability to meet the needs of the IBU and the Nursing and clinics KPIs, based on the employment agreement.
- Communicate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to meet scheduling and treatment timelines.
- Coordinate with patients and caregivers to set up appointments and drug delivery to home and clinic.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to maintain professional standards.
- Engage in specialized client-related training as required.
- Adhere to professional nursing standards and work collaboratively within the healthcare team, delegating tasks as authorized.
- Travel within designated areas as needed to meet operational requirements.
- Follow all nursing, clinic SOPs, and health and safety standards.
- Complete ongoing and annual training as per the training matrix within set timeframes.
- Perform other duties as required by Innomar.
- Be available on standby/on call if necessary to meet service needs.
Experience and Educational Requirements
- Registered Nurse with relevant experience required.
- At least 1 year of IV initiation experience.
- Current registration with licensing body and CPR certification.
- Experience in critical care, emergency, acute, or homecare settings.
- Certifications such as ACLS, PALS, MS, and CVAA are assets, along with experience with central venous lines/ports.
- Proficiency in MS Office and internet use.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and autonomous working skills.
- Ability to travel within the designated area.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industry and business/financial acumen are assets.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective time management, ability to meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Valid driver’s license and insurance coverage.
The successful candidate may have daily contact with unilingual English-speaking customers, patients, or peers from cross-functional teams.
