RESTORATIVE JUSTICE SEXUAL ASSAULT & DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIM SUPPORT WORKER

Thunder Bay, ON

The Restorative Justice / Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence (RJ / SADV) Victim Support Worker will be responsible for delivering and reporting on the implementation and progress of the initiative in the target communities funded under the project.

Qualifications :

  • Post-secondary diploma in law, advocacy, paralegal, social work, mental health, or related area of study.
  • Experience and knowledge in dealing with victims of Sexual Abuse and Domestic Violence, Aboriginal issues, and the current legal system.
  • Experience working with NAN and in First Nation Communities.
  • Excellent case and file management skills, administrative and coordination skills, stress management and time management skills, ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Adaptability and self-motivation.
  • Proficient working knowledge of MS Office Software, internet, and general office equipment.
  • Ability to speak Cree, Oji-Cree, or Ojibway is an asset.

Location : Thunder Bay, ON

Salary : In accordance with established pay grid and commensurate with education / experience
