YOUR CHALLENGE

Act as an OHS expert to provide customers with training in health and safety to have a significant impact on the success of health and safety systems.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and update expertise;
  • Provide health and safety training to customers, either at the SPI training center or on the customer’s premises;
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of training programs;
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of health and safety practices, assessments, and documents;
  • Perform a variety of roles on site, including health and safety supervision, OHS support, and other related services;
  • Maintain a high standard of quality and expertise;
  • Travel by car or plane to customer sites in the region or out of town.
SPECIFIC MEASURES OF SUCCESS - EXPECTED OUTCOMES
  • Safety of staff, customers, and students is maintained at all times;
  • Rigor in audits, inspections, evaluations, and procedures;
  • References and qualifications maintained.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Diploma or certificate in occupational health and safety;
  • Have one of these certifications: ROH, CIH, CSP, or CRSP (an asset);
  • Experience as a health and safety Advisor;
  • Experience in working at heights, in confined spaces, in lockout/tagout, and in developing health and safety procedures;
  • Confident in your knowledge, but able to consider all points of view.
