What you will be doing:
- Leading a team of technology professionals to deliver our digital banking experience, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Providing technical guidance on solutions involving mobile/web applications, integrations, backend services, and APIs, aligned with the Enterprise Technology Roadmap.
- Collaborating with other engineering leaders and stakeholders to apply engineering OKRs and optimize KPIs.
- Ensuring timely, budget-conscious delivery of software solutions that meet business expectations.
In this role, you will:
- Champion and refine our engineering culture to maximize value and efficiency.
- Proactively address technical issues and guide the team through high-level symptoms to solutions.
- Engage in technical design discussions, proposing modern, cost-effective solutions with senior developers and stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership and promote ideas to gain consensus.
- Translate high-level visions into successful team executions.
Skills and experience required:
- 10+ years of software development and 3+ years leading high-performance teams.
- 5+ years with backend technologies like Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and experience delivering large-scale projects in Agile environments.
- Hands-on experience with multiple programming languages, SOLID principles, and scalable, fault-tolerant platforms.
- Experience with cloud, microservices architecture, and modernization initiatives.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (Angular 2+, JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and DevOps tools (Bitbucket/GIT, Jenkins, Docker).
- Strong leadership, communication skills, and a passion for innovation and mentorship.
