A leading organization in the Retail / Beverage / CPG sector is seeking a Materials & Supply Analyst for a full-time permanent role. The position involves analyzing supplier performance, managing costs, and optimizing supply chain efficiency. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills, a degree in a related field, and experience in supply planning.
Our client is a well-established organization in the Retail / Beverage / CPG sector and has a job open for Materials & Supply Analyst to analyze and evaluate the performance of their co-packers, 3rd party contract manufacturing suppliers. This is a full-time permanent role, with responsibilities including daily tactical materials, supply planning, PO processing, raw material inventory management, with a focus on co-packer vendor performance, cost analysis, and efficiency improvements. The role involves analyzing costs, capital expenses, consumables, consolidating co-packers, and optimizing freight costs, among other tasks. It is suited for someone with strong analytical skills in MS Excel, Power BI, SQL, etc. The position is based in the west GTA – west Etobicoke, Mississauga, Brampton, Burlington, Hamilton, ON – requiring a minimum of 3 days in the office per week.
Your new role
The Materials & Supply Analyst will be responsible for analyzing historical spend data on co-packers, supply planning, manufacturer spends, fixed and consumable costs, and identifying process improvements. You will work directly with suppliers and vendors on supply planning, monitor and manage their performance, and analyze data to find opportunities for cost and efficiency improvements. The role involves conducting Root Cause Analysis, implementing corrective actions, and revising SOPs related to third-party manufacturing, costs, and claims.
What you'll need to succeed
Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in Supply Planning, Material Planning, Co-packer performance, or Contract Manufacturing. Advanced Excel skills are mandatory. Experience with data mining large datasets, claims, material spends, and manufacturing costs is essential. Strong tactical supply chain, inventory, and material planning experience. A Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related fields is highly preferred, along with certifications in materials management. Knowledge of Power BI is a plus. Excellent English communication skills are a must. Ability to work directly with suppliers, supply teams, warehousing, and finance, with a continuous improvement mindset and passion for data analytics, is essential.
