In collaboration with the Quality Control Supervisor, the HACCP coordinator ensures adherence to the HACCP system requirements, including maintaining the SQF certification, providing Food Safety & Quality training, and conducting audits.

What’s involved in this role

  1. Maintain, reassess, and improve HACCP plans.
  2. Maintain, reassess, and improve Prerequisite Programs.
  3. Maintain, reassess, and improve Manual of Operations.
  4. Document control of HACCP and Quality-related documentation (e.g., records, instructions, references).
  5. Verify and coordinate corrective actions for all HACCP documents.
  6. Manage changes or additions to products, processes, ingredients.
  7. Serve as the alternate SQF Practitioner.
  8. Understand and implement SQF audit requirements.
  9. Maintain requirements for food quality, safety, and defense.
  10. Support the production department with process improvement projects and act as a resource when needed.
  11. Lead annual quality and food safety training, including updates to training materials.
  12. Complete annual CCP training.
  13. Complete annual HACCP & GMP refresher training.
  14. Conduct new hire quality training.
  15. Perform internal audits to evaluate HACCP & SQF programs.
  16. Provide corrective actions to respond to non-conformances (root cause analysis, corrective actions, monitoring effectiveness).
  17. Maintain requirements for Health & Safety.
  18. Perform laboratory purchases and maintain inventory.

What you need to join our team

  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related science.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of related industry experience.
  • Auditing experience.
  • SQF experience preferred.
