The role of Chief Corporate Services Officer at the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is a dynamic position that requires a balanced mix of strategic human resources and financial planning skills. Reporting to Commissioner Thomas Carrique, you will offer strategic guidance to the Commissioner's Command Team, supporting a significant change agenda while managing a $1.5 billion budget and overseeing procurement processes for a workforce of 10,000 members.

As an executive member of the command team in one of North America's largest police services, you will be part of a highly committed and operationally focused team responsible for 24 / 7 emergency services.

You will be required to work on-site and travel to various locations as part of your job responsibilities.

About the job

As the Chief Corporate Services Officer of the Corporate Services Division, you will :

  • provide strategic leadership and direction for corporate services while demonstrating the Ontario Public Service leadership behaviours and the Ontario Provincial Police - Commitment to Public Safety
  • develop strategic plans aligned with the OPP's mission and goals
  • ensures collaborative labour relations with OPP's Associations, including employee relations matters, disciplinary situations, and grievance resolution
  • navigate complex procurement and supply chain issues to acquire essential equipment and resources critical for effective policing
  • lead major financial projects such as the development of new detachments and facilities
