With over $250.4 billion of gross assets under management, British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) is one of the largest institutional investors in Canada. Since its inception in 2000, BCI has grown significantly and is now regarded as one of the most influential financial institutions globally with a diverse and global mix of assets. The organization has positioned itself as an active, in-house asset manager with sophisticated strategies operating within an increasingly complex investment environment.

Over the past few years, BCI has invested heavily in modernizing its technology operations. The organization has made significant strides in integrating enterprise tools and systems that will be in place for the next decade. This foundation has improved stability and reduced critical system interruptions from 55 to zero, creating a robust platform for further innovation.

The organization’s Service Delivery team is transitioning from an application-aligned to a client-aligned model to enhance business relationships and solution delivery. The Senior Manager of Service Delivery for the Private Markets group will support this strategic reorganization by redefining and streamlining solution delivery practices, leading a skilled team in a matrix structure and fostering a client-focused culture. The Private Markets team manages BCI’s investments across Private Equity and Debt, Infrastructure and Renewable Resources asset classes, constituting over $100 billion in assets. The aim is to ensure a smooth transition and effective team adaptation to the new model and structure, which prioritizes tailored solution delivery and personalized, responsive service.

The ideal candidate will be a highly successful technology leader who has experience providing personalized and responsive service delivery to Private Markets teams. The Private Markets team operates at a fast pace and the Senior Manager will need to have a strong understanding of the unique needs and processes of deal analysis and execution, including familiarity with the systems and workflows involved in private market transactions. Familiarity with private asset portfolio management systems is considered an asset.
