About the team and the role:

As a staff content designer, you will lead key end-to-end projects that enhance the buying and selling experience on eBay. You’re adept at finding a path forward as you create scalable and durable solutions, and you drive alignment with your cross-functional partners by engaging in healthy debate.

As a full-stack staff content designer, you know writing is designing. You see language as a design material and as an integral part of the UX design process, and you get others to think the same. You not only understand how to evaluate the quality of content design, but also contribute to the evolution of frameworks, guidelines or standard methodologies. You enjoy working with cross-discipline partners to co-create strategies, iterate through all stages of fidelity, and define outcomes in ambiguous spaces.

What you will accomplish:

  • Drives key features, products, or initiatives based on company priorities
  • Build scalable solutions that set team standards
  • Drive a cohesive product narrative and end-to-end consistency in partnership with marketing and customer support teams.
  • Ensure content is accessible and inclusive, and collaborate with the Localization team to scale content for global markets.

What you will bring:

  • 8+ years professional experience in content-focused roles with 6+ of those years on in-product UX content
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in English, journalism, communications, marketing, human-centered interaction, or related field portfolio of work demonstrating human-centered design thinking and solutions
  • Experience leading the design process from early concept to launch
  • Experience developing a product content strategy for web and mobile, including designing for accessibility and inclusivity
