Salary Range: $94,800 - $116,900

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Protect company assets, personnel, property, and customer property.
  2. Conduct corporate and criminal investigations, prepare reports, and testify in court when needed.
  3. Identify and handle trespassers, making arrests as appropriate.
  4. Advise officials on reducing crime and accidents, coordinate emergency responses, supervise security guards, and train staff.
  5. Perform crime prevention patrols focusing on high-value shipments and high-risk areas.

Perform other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Completed basic police training at a recognized academy.
  • Meet peace officer standards and be commissioned in the state of employment, maintaining a valid license.
  • Meet BNSF Resource Protection standards as a Special Agent.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
  • Proficient with computer systems for reporting.
  • Physically and psychologically fit, passing all evaluations and background checks.
  • Complete required training.
  • Knowledge of railroad operations, emergency procedures, and criminal law.
  • Leadership skills in stressful situations.
  • Willing to relocate within 50 miles of the work location.
  • At least 18 months of full-time experience as a peace officer.
