Job description

Position Summary

Under the general direction of the Manager, Surveillance, this position is responsible for the installation and maintenance of video and integrated access control/alarm network equipment. This role requires the ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces, at heights exceeding 5 meters, in limited lighting, on motorized lifts, and outdoors. The Surveillance Technician monitors to ensure the protection of company assets, compliance with gaming regulations and internal controls, and supports efforts to adhere to company policies and procedures. The role also involves motivating and leading by example, supporting a learning environment, and establishing a safe and welcoming workplace for all team members.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Repairs and maintains CCTV and Access Control systems; installs new systems.
  2. Installs and maintains technical software and databases.
  3. Trains team members on equipment use.
  4. Prepares and follows an approved Preventative Maintenance Schedule.
  5. Researches new products and technologies; provides recommendations.
  6. Communicates effectively with all relevant operational departments.
  7. Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members.
  8. Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
Education and Qualifications
  • Electronics Engineering Technician Diploma.
  • Previous CCTV experience, and/or Alarm and Security Technician Certification is an asset.
  • Minimum two years of related experience.
  • Fall Protection and Lift Training certification, or the ability to obtain.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCad, LAN/Networking, CCTV/NTSC is an asset.
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office.
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License.
  • Ability to complete Surveillance Operator training.
Work Environment Considerations
  • Regular office and casino environments; non-traditional work hours may be required; some travel may be necessary.
  • Occasional work in confined spaces or from lifts to service equipment.
