Job Title: Plant/Service Combination - C17

Job Code: 380325

Rate Range: $29.30 - $44.58 USD per hour

Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:45pm

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Assist with the operation and maintenance of distribution facilities such as main lines and services.
  2. Perform miscellaneous duties related to plant operations.
  3. Operate line locator to locate and mark pipelines and curb boxes.
  4. Repair curb boxes as needed.
  5. Perform corrosion test readings.
  6. Conduct critical valve inspections.
  7. Perform minor maintenance on tools and equipment.
  8. Carry out general maintenance duties, such as painting, mowing, and cleaning, as needed.
  9. Respond to customer and company work requests, including transfers, disconnects, reads/rereads, locates/repairs curb boxes, meter removals, and delinquent account collections or gas service disconnections.
  10. Operate construction equipment such as two-ton trucks with pipe trailers or low-boy trailers, ditching machines, backhoes, and tampers.
  11. Assist in installing, repairing, and replacing distribution facilities like mains, services, regulators, and structures.
  12. Be available for overtime, emergency, and call-out work.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.
  14. Hold an appropriate class of state driver's license and CDL.
  15. Pass Operator Qualifications requirements relevant to assigned duties.

Required Qualifications for Position

  • Comply with applicable DOT Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Plan (AMPP) regulations.
  • Respond to emergency calls and work scheduled and non-scheduled overtime at applicable rates.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and data entry on a computer.
  • Work in all weather conditions.
  • Possess a valid and appropriate driver's license.
  • Have a high school diploma or accepted GED.
  • Be able to become and maintain Operator Qualifications (OQ).
