Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Supplier Management QA Analyst working in T&O’s Supplier Management Office (SMO). You will be enabling quality assurance on T&O’s third-party due diligence within RBC’s SRMA (Supplier Risk Management Application) system equipping the business and our partners with meaningful insights and actionable advice on their third-party engagements.

This role is essential in supporting the identification and mitigation of inaccuracy in our third-party engagements. As a result of work performed as part of this role, you will greatly contribute towards the implementation aimed at improving our data and by extension the critical aspects of our portfolio. Your expertise will be crucial in driving change and overall improvement across the T&O organization’s approach to their SRMAs. The position will offer opportunities to work across the T&O SMO, our businesses, and make a significant impact on our overall portfolio.

Job Description

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Support the development of the 1st Line of Defense (1LOD) quality assurance control program, coordinating across multiple subject matter areas.
  • Support the development of the framework for quality assurance reporting across the 1LOD teams; develop reports for Sr. Mgmt. and committees on QA metrics, trends, root causes, and resolutions.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance control reviews for supplier monitoring activities and other artifacts for conformance to RBC Enterprise Third Party Risk Management Policy and all applicable standards and procedures.
  • Research and report on inconsistencies discovered in ongoing monitoring activities and track those inconsistencies through to resolution in partnership with the T&O SMO Risk Leads.
  • Interact daily across businesses on the full range of supplier management matters related to compliance, multi-discipline service quality, and/or transformational change (processes and technologies).
  • Provide risk awareness and training to colleagues in support of RBC Enterprise Third Party Risk Management Policy and all applicable standards and procedures.
  • Escalate issues to management as required; work to resolve issues as needed.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Must have:

  • Undergraduate degree coupled with experience in Third Party Supplier management and IT Risk management practice in the financial services industry.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and time management capabilities are essential. You must be deadline-driven and results-oriented, able to consistently meet high-quality standards while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated excellence in both written and oral communication is a must. You should be proficient in effectively and timely communicating with stakeholders, understanding their information and communication needs, and presenting information clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong analytical and rational thinking, supported by solid writing skills are essential for documenting and communicating effectively. You should be able to grasp stakeholder expectations and align your communication accordingly.
  • Industry Insight: An understanding of the financial services industry or technology sector, coupled with a familiarity with regulatory environments, will greatly enhance your ability to succeed in this role.

  • Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses.
  • Ability to partner with diverse stakeholders in complex scenarios with excellent liaison, communication, influence, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise in a broad range of Risk Management and Information Security, including strong knowledge and experience in SaaS, data management concepts, and governance practices.
