As a member of the Personal and Business Banking team, you’ll work in a fast-paced Banking Centre where you’ll make a meaningful difference in our clients' lives. As an Associate Financial Advisor, you’ll form a deep understanding of your personal and small business clients’ needs as you recommend simple, personalized solutions that will help them achieve their financial goals. You’ll manage, either individually or as part of a team, a portfolio of mortgage clients with a focus on deepening client relationships. Ensure clients’ investment, financial, and credit needs are met by offering comprehensive retail banking solutions or referring them to the appropriate specialists.
  2. Relationship building: Engage in marketing and outreach activities to demonstrate value and community involvement. Grow your network, deepen relationships, and collaborate as a team to connect clients with the right opportunities.
  3. Business development: Network with clients’ families and friends to uncover opportunities, refer to partners, and identify growth prospects. Participate in community and banking centre events to enhance CIBC’s presence and market share.
  4. Leveraging technology: Become proficient with our mobile banking applications, helping clients manage their banking needs more effectively.

  • You love to learn, with a strong curiosity and desire to grow your knowledge.
  • You have 2-3 years of experience providing financial advice and achieving sales results through advice-based conversations.
  • You hold current accreditation in Mutual Funds License (Canadian Securities Course or Investment Funds in Canada) and meet CIRO-MFD licensing requirements. Additional accreditation like CFSA is a plus.
