Position Overview: As a Shipper, you will be responsible for picking and assembling finished goods according to sales orders, packing items into appropriate boxes or crates based on product specifications or general overpack practices for shipment. You will affix shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils, identify shipping information on cartons/crates, and work with various web-based shipping tools to identify and track shipments.

Reporting To: Shipping Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate verbally or via email with all departments involved in delivering goods for orders.
  • Coordinate invoicing activities and manage ship dates with Sales Admin.
  • Verify inbound goods for damage and completeness before passing to the Receiving Department.
  • Ensure the completeness and physical integrity of all outbound shipments, including final packaging methods.
  • Load and unload transport vehicles respecting schedules of Ross Video and carriers.
  • Arrange transportation between Ross Video locations, assist in box assembly, material prep, and inventory management of shipping materials.
  • Maintain neat and organized storage areas.
  • Operate forklift trucks to move goods and load trucks. Overtime and shift work may be required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma.
  • Working knowledge of computers and software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Ability to follow procedures, work logically, and experience with forklift operation.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to quality work, ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or shipping environment, with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
