Responsible for directing the work of the counter sales and pick up counter team. Coordinating the work according to technical knowledge required to solve a customer’s enquiry and solves the most intricate problems. Ensuring that the transactions are done according to company policies and procedures.

What you will do
- Direct supervisory responsibilities are applicable. Acts as a functional leader.
- Administers workflow and prepares work schedules of team members in such a way that work flow meets customer service standards.
- Uses appropriate means to optimize the efficiency of the resources available.
- Assesses the full requirements of the job and/or customer expectations and needs.
- Ensures stock availability as scheduled.
- Completes the order process which includes offering pricing terms according to established margins; sourcing of additional products; and generating sales orders.
- Responsible for preparing order quotes on urgent contracting jobs.
- Offers product expertise to customers.
- Performs necessary product research in catalogues and on the internet.
- Offers alternative stock or non-stock items depending on specifications.
- Processes orders to completion and verifies with a generated computer ticket to ensure acceptance of the order.
- Confirms details of delivery according to scheduled times and commitment dates. Verifies all items are available for the customer as scheduled and obtains stocking information off the system to determine causes for discrepancies. Notifies Sales Representative or the Purchasing department of low stock or errors in the inventory count.
- Performs tasks and procedures as outlined by the branch manager.
- Handles customer escalation communication.
What you will bring
- Minimum of 3 years related supervisory experience.
- Industry experience is an asset.
- Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services; talks and acts with customers in mind; establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.
- Can negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups; can settle differences with minimum noise; can win concessions without damaging relationships; can be both direct and forceful as well as diplomatic; gains trust quickly of other parties to the negotiations; has a good sense of timing.
- Knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, and information affecting his/her business and organization; knows the competition; is aware of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace.
