Job Details
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer medications in the patient's home, specialty clinics, and Physician Partnership clinic settings.
- Assess and monitor pre- and post-injection/infusion treatments as directed by program protocols.
- Complete necessary documentation based on policies, procedures, and standards of practice from the College of Nurses and Innomar ISO accreditation.
- Provide patient and caregiver education based on product monographs and program protocols, individually or in groups.
- Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and product complaints in accordance with Innomar training and policies & procedures.
- Ensure reliable availability based on employment agreements to meet the needs of the IBU and key performance indicators of nursing and clinics.
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., case managers, physicians, pharmacy, scheduling) to meet appointment and treatment timelines.
- Communicate with patients and caregivers to set up appointments and coordinate drug delivery to home and clinic.
- Participate in team web-based meetings and training sessions to maintain and enhance professional standards.
- Engage in specialized client-related training as required.
- Adhere to professional nursing standards and Innomar policies.
- Work collaboratively within the healthcare team, providing oversight and delegation to RPN/LPN as authorized.
- Travel within designated IBUs to meet operational needs.
- Follow all nursing and clinic standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Comply with all health and safety standards per provincial regulations.
- Complete ongoing and annual education training within specified timeframes.
- Perform other duties as required by Innomar.
- Be available on standby/on call if necessary.
Experience and Educational Requirements
- Registered Nurse with relevant experience required.
- At least 1 year of IV initiation experience.
- Current registration with licensing body and CPR certification.
- Experience in critical care, emergency, acute care, or homecare settings.
- ACLS, PALS, MS, CVAA certifications, and central venous line experience are assets.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and other relevant computer programs.
- Reliable internet connection and cell phone for communication and appointment management.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel within the designated area.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industry is an asset.
- Business and financial acumen is an asset.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Hold a valid, non-expired, unrestricted driver's license and insurance.
The successful candidate may interact daily with unilingual English-speaking customers, patients, or peers from cross-functional teams.
