Join our Team at Eckville Food Store

Are you dedicated to providing exceptional customer service? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments? Eckville Food Store presents the perfect opportunity for you! We're currently looking for a Meat Cutter to join our dynamic team.

Position:

Meat Cutter

Part-time:

24-36 hours/week. Benefit eligible after 3 months. If you are coming from out of province, please remember you need to have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.

Availability:

Weekdays and weekends - mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and answer customer questions
  • Skillfully slice, trim, and prepare a variety of meat selections and cuts, then carefully wrap and package each with utmost precision.
  • Manage time efficiently to complete all special orders
  • Order, receive, and stock freight orders
  • Practice safe food handling procedures and wear appropriate attire
  • Perform general housekeeping duties, following proper sanitation procedures and maintaining housekeeping logs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
Qualifications
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • Correct handling of knives and proficient utilization of other cutting tools
  • Experience with food preparation is an asset; training is available
  • Capable of working in a cold/refrigerated environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required
  • Applicants must be over 14 years old. (Employment Standards mandates a permit to employ a person aged 14 or under, thus disclosure is required)
