Job description

  • Develops and sustains strong relationships with vendors by creating selection and evaluation criteria, effectively negotiating distribution agreements and contracts, and conducting regular monitoring of status and issues
  • Provides clear and actionable feedback regularly to encourage cooperation and drive continuous improvement in vendor performance.
  • Establishes process and product criteria and negotiates strategic bulk buys.
  • Creates procedures for problem resolution, from internal reporting communication to addressing, tracking, and resolving supplier-related issues.
  • Coordinates buying for all branches and engages vendors to address shipment errors, return merchandise authorizations, claim back procedures, and product issues.
  • Collaborates with the sales team to forecast the product requirements for upcoming projects.
  • Develops and monitors performance KPIs for vendors, rebates, etc. Produces regular procurement reports and advises executives and stakeholders on framework for procurement best practices and efficiency initiatives.

  • Ability to build positive working relationships with both vendors and internal departments.

Who We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, or related field.
  • Relevant certification(s) or training in vendor management, supply chain management, or relationship management an asset.
  • 5 years' experience in vendor management roles.
  • Experience working with an ERP system (Knowledge of NAV or SAP would be an asset)
  • Travel required - up to 30%
