Job summary

MAG Aerospace Canada is seeking Fire Detection Pilots for the 2025 fire season. The role involves conducting aerial patrols to detect wildfires across Ontario and Saskatchewan. Candidates must hold a Commercial Pilot License and ideally have a Multi-Engine Rating. Compensation includes fixed salary and bonuses.

Position Title : Fire Detection Pilots – 2025 Fire Season

Employment Type : Full Time, Seasonal Contract

Location : Various throughout Ontario & Saskatchewan

Role of a Fire Detection Pilot :

Detection Pilots support our Fire and Survey contracts and act as Pilot-In-Command of the Cessna 337 Skymaster. As a Detection Pilot, you will conduct VFR patrols in search of lightning and human-caused wildfires across Northern Ontario. Aerial fire detection plays a critical role in the government’s wildfire management strategy to help ensure wildfires are found early when they are still small enough to be controlled.

Your Qualifications :

• Transport Canada Commercial Pilot License and Multi-Engine Rating
• Category 1 Medical
• Valid Group 1 Instrument Rating (Ideal but not mandatory)
